“We used to stare at the mural for hours and get thrilled every time we found something new in the painting.” Suzanne and William were enchanted by the final product. Another week to paint and it was finally ready. Suzanne and William were excited and eager to see the finished product. The design was really intricate and took me five full days to sketch the entire design. Once the design was finalized, I started sketching on the wall. But we progressed well and soon turned them into a visual concept. Combining these seemingly different inspiration into one piece was a challenge to start with. Suzanne was looking for a wall size mural which would combine her inspirations which includes Egyptian culture, the tree of life and mermaid. Lounge area was meant to be a hang out space for the professors. We got together and discussed mural ideas. I collaborated with them for a mural project for the college lounge area. I was fortunate to be part of their journey. They stayed strong and consistent throughout the process whether it be quitting their full time jobs, re-modelling the entire space all by themselves or secure permission from various government entities. Suzanne and William’s journey of setting up Cosmotec college is truly an inspiration for young entrepreneurs like me.
